Our Vision and Story

Batteries Plus of Central Iowa is locally owned and operated by a husband-and-wife team under BrightPost Services Group. While Urbandale is our very first location, our 5-year vision includes expanding to four stores across the region, including Ankeny, Des Moines, and Ames. We aren't just building a store; we are building the core team that will help us scale. 

At Batteries Plus of Central Iowa (operated by BrightPost Services Group), we’re building a small, skilled team that takes pride in solving real problems for real people. We’re not a typical retail store — we’re a place where customers walk in with challenges, questions, and broken devices, and walk out with solutions they can trust.

We hire people who enjoy hands‑on work, technical curiosity, and the satisfaction of figuring things out. Every day brings something different: diagnosing battery failures, repairing smartphone screens, programming key fobs, or fulfilling commercial orders with precision.
